How do I watch the MetDesk LIVE briefings?
After requesting a free trial, or subscribing to the service, you will be sent the briefing invitations straight into your email inbox ready for you to watch. The recording is available to watch 15 to 20 minutes after the briefing has finished.
What time does the briefing occur and when will I receive the invite?
Briefings are delivered at 08:00 Eastern local every morning. You should receive the invitation to join approximately 2 to 3 hours prior.
What does each briefing cover?
You’ll receive a clear forecast overview of the eastern half of the USA, key developments since the previous update, trend signals from the latest model runs, and most importantly, any relevant uncertainties or risks to be aware of.
Will you cover the western half of the USA?
We have chosen to focus on the eastern half of the US during the initial phase to ensure the briefing remains clear, impactful, without making it too long or diluting the key messages. Any extreme weather affecting the west will, of course, be highlighted when relevant, although it will not form part of the routine daily coverage. Please let us know if regular coverage of the West is something you would like us to consider.
I'm not able to join at the briefing time. Is there a recording available for me to watch later on?
Yes, absolutely! The briefing will air at 08:00 and last between 10 to 15 minutes.
The recording is available via the same link to watch approximately 20 minutes after the briefing has finished. The recording is available for 24 hours.
I'm based in Europe, but trading the US gas market. Can I join the briefing?
Of course! The briefing is open to all energy trading professionals, who have an interest in the US market. The briefing occurs at 08:00 Eastern time, which is 13:00 UK local during the winter.
It's worth noting, due to differences in daylight savings between Europe and the US, there will be periods of the year in March & October where the time aired in Europe may differ from above.
